I developed an interactive learning experience to introduce students to electronics through a hands-on, collaborative circuit design exercise. As part of an IET-accredited graduate scheme, this workshop provided a creative and engaging way for a class of 30 students to explore fundamental electronic principles. Each participant built their own tone-generating circuit, learning about components and assembly in a supportive environment. The highlight of the session came when students worked together in groups to recreate popular songs, combining their circuits to produce a collaborative performance.
The workshop was a resounding success, fostering both technical skills and teamwork. Through this project, I refined my abilities in instructional design, group facilitation, and creating interactive STEM learning experiences. It also reinforced my belief in the power of hands-on activities to inspire curiosity and understanding. Seeing the students’ excitement as they brought their circuits to life was a rewarding reminder of the impact well-designed educational experiences can have.
