Projects: Sheepherding Experience

In collaboration with artists from Reading, I contributed to a project that brought modern sheep herding techniques to life at the Museum of English Rural Life. The experience was built around GoPro Fusion footage, capturing the perspective of a farmer on a quad bike as they herded sheep across rural landscapes. To enhance immersion, visitors viewed the footage while sitting on a near-identical quad bike, mimicking the farmer’s viewpoint and adding a physical dimension to the experience.

This project blended art, technology, and immersive media to offer an engaging, first-person perspective on rural life. Through this collaboration, I gained valuable experience in working with 360-degree video technology, spatial storytelling, and creating interactive installations that bring real-world experiences into museum settings. It highlighted the potential of immersive media to make cultural and educational content more interactive and relatable for diverse audiences.
