From March to June, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Nara University of Science and Technology (NAIST) as a visiting researcher, where I joined the IMD Lab. This research group specializes in Augmented Reality (AR) applications, integrating knowledge from Computer Graphics, Computer Vision, and Human-Computer Interaction. The expertise and capabilities of the IMD Lab were invaluable to my PhD, providing the perfect environment to advance the next iteration of City Blocks, an AR-based collaborative urban design platform.

Unfortunately, due to the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, this project was cut short much earlier than anticipated. Despite the challenges, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the lab and am hopeful that I will have the chance to collaborate with them again in the future. The experience was an important step in my research journey, and I look forward to the potential of revisiting this work as conditions allow.
